These crates with are made from furniture-grade white pine and the sides and bottom are made from pine slates to give it a rustic look. The ends of the crates has a decorative accent, one side has a cut out of Lower MI and the opposite side has a cut out of the U.P. Each crate is hand sanded and nailed and shipped as is, WITHOUT paint or coated in lacquer. The color of each crate is unique due to naturally occurring pigments and knots in the wood. A crate can range from a light blond color to a dark caramel and is stamped on the bottom with the HDD logo.

Peck Crate
This crate is perfect for apple picking! A Peck is a unit of measurement approximately equal to 1/4 bushel, 2 gallons, or 8 quarts. Traditionally a peck can be used for wet or dry items but is most often used to comfortably carry fruit or vegetables. Each side has sturdy rope handles as well as cut outs of the State of Michigan.
